Salary & Benefits
Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital offer a competitive salary and benefits package to its entire House Staff. Stipends are reviewed annually and recommendations are made by the Graduate Medical Education Committee. Professional Allowance
All Medical residents receive a professional allowance of $250.00 during each of the three training years which can be used for books and conferences.
Research Projects
Limited funding is available from the Department of Medicine to support resident research projects. Applications for funding must be submitted to the resident's respective program director in the form of a written research proposal with a faculty sponsor's signature.
